Mountain Madness is a Meet & Greet with an optional challenge for anyone who wants to earn a prize. Everyone is welcome to come and join us for a day of fun for all.

Challenge:
Find any 15 caches owned by FxBill or dfelash, from Canyonville to Sunny Valley on April 1st between 9am and 5pm. There will be at least 100 (currently 113) Recently Hid Caches to choose from with a variety of ratings. You may want to consider the cache ratings and locations when planning your day. There will be information and printouts available at the optional check-in.- You must provide photo proof of the dated Inked Logs at the Meet & Greet to claim a prize (Do Not post these photos online as spoilers).
– Caches must also be logged online during the challenge between 9am and 5pm to qualify.
Prizes will be awarded at 6pm to cachers who have completed the challenge. The prizes may include Caches, Trackables, and Swag.
Cachers!! SocksAndAmanda will be heading to Lithia Park Saturday morning from about 9-11 a.m. to help teach some inquisitive new cachers about Geocaching. Want to stop by and share some stories and help? Please do!! We will be meeting at the water fountain at 9 a.m. to being our little tour of Lithia. Know someone who wants to learn more about caching and get a hands-on experience? Share this with them and come join!! We hope to see you there!!
Come join us for a different style of CITO than we’ve done in the past. While we usually aim our attention on parks and the greenway, this time we wanted to focus on an area that gets plenty of traffic each day, whether it be by foot or by car, bicycle or skateboard. Downtown Medford is a wonderful place to walk around, see the sights, learn about the history of the area, or find a bite to eat, but rarely do we take the time to clean up this area and give back to the community. While this CITO might be a little out of the ordinary, or seem like a large task, we have highlighted a few key blocks of the downtown area that we want to focus on and make a difference.
This CITO will take place on Friday, September 21st, from 6-7pm. The posted coordinates will bring you to a booth we will have set up where you can sign the event log sheet, grab your trash bags, and begin your quest. We will have maps available that show the highlighted area of our clean-up effort as well as trash bags and gloves, and you can bring your trash back to the booth when you are finished. If you have any trash-pickers or other items you’d like to bring, feel free.
We don’t expect to be picking up tons and tons of trash in our efforts, but we do hope that we can make a difference in the downtown area and spread the joy and love of geocaching to others who might see what we are doing. While we all love being out in nature and finding caches, urban caching is growing more and more each day. We want to take this CITO opportunity to help the downtown areas and keep our gameboard clean. We hope to see you come out and join us!
